Masterbatch is a solid or liquid additive for plastic used for colouring plastics (colour masterbatch) or imparting other properties to plastics (additive masterbatch). Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives encapsulated during a heat process into a carrier resin which is then cooled and cut into a granular shape. Masterbatch allows the processor to colour raw polymer or optimise certain performances economically during the plastics manufacturing process.
When our additives masterbatches are into PVC, EPDM, EPR, PE or even HFFR EVA it does not affect the mechanical properties of the base compound. In fact it shall enhanced the antimicrobial properties instead. It does not affect various crosslinking technology such as SIoplas, E beam ( irradiation ) or even CCV production. Can be easily loaded at compounding stages as well, Banbury, twin screw etc.
No. It is an EVA-based, non-toxic and non-hazardous halogen-free masterbatch. Our Company has adopted the most advanced technology in the production process, taking into consideration to protect the environment against any possible threat to the wildlife and its surroundings.
No. Our products emit a bitter odour and taste which repels the rodents and termites instead of killing them. They contain proprietary chemicals that are disliked by rodents and termites which turns off rodents from attempting to go near it, much less biting it. Even if the rodents were to attempt to bite into the cables, the bitter taste would deter them from trying it a second time. Over the time, it prolongs the shelf life of the end product by another 10-15 years, which makes it one of the most sought-after additive masterbatch ever used.
Conventional methods using various types of pesticides or lead naphthanate poses high risks in our ecological systems and does not prevent the attacks from recurring. It is therefore strongly discouraged from using it. Products such as Anti-termite of type Aldrin/Dieldrin/Heptachlor/Copper Naphthenic/Bifentrin (or others classified as organochlorins) are not acceptable and widely banned in most developed countries.
The recommended dosage is between 2% to 5% of the masterbatch depending on specific requirements of the end product.
The materials are produced into cylindrical pellets, light cream in colour and each measuring around 2-3mm. They are packed in individual 25kgs drums.
